This is a famous self portrait of Frida Kahlo. Frida was a Mexican born Artist. She was best known for her self portraits. She is quoted as saying "I paint my self because I am so often alone and because I am the subject I know best." When I googled self portraits so many of these paintings came up, and it made me curious. Since our latest topic is on self portraits I felt this was a very appropriate painting. Of her 143 paintings 55 where self portraits, she also said she never painted dreams only reality.
