Autumn Landscape

This is a painting by Vincent Van Gogh called "Autumn Landscape". The media used in this painting are oil on canvas. This is a landscape painting of the Netherlands in October of 1885. The artist uses both analogous and neutral colors throughout the paining. Simple stokes of yellow, yellow-orange, and orange paint creates eccentric detail of the leaves in the painting. I liked this painting because of the artists use of color to create depth, the neutral colors offset with the cool colors in the background to form a realistic landscape.
