This is a pastel drawing done by an unnamed artist. The drawing is done with both hard and soft pastels. When reading about this drawing, it is believed that the artist did this based on observation from a bridge and used the hard pastels first and then went over it with soft pastels.The reason why I picked this drawing is because I really liked the colors and the shading that was used within the drawing. Another reason why I picked it is because we are using pastels and drawing based on observation of the Cello. This drawing shows the many ways that pastels can be shaded together to get a really nice effect of what is being observed.
