This is Andy Warhol's famous painting series of Marilyn Monroe created in the 1960s. The media used to create this painting is silk screen printing. The artist uses both warm and cool colors to create depth in the painting. I chose this piece because the process of silk screen printing interests me. The artists use of color throughout all of his silk screen prints are drastic and bright.
