Study for 24th Street Intersection

This picture is called Study for 24th Street Intersection and was made in 1978 by the artist Wayne Thiebaud. The media used was graphite on paper. One reason I chose to post this was that in the black and white version in the textbook shows that the artist used cross-hatching to create the value in the picture, which was a topic covered recently in class. I like the picture also because it depicts a street in San Francisco, which are well known, but it seems to overexaggerate the steepness of the streets.
