Titled as The Gates, Central Park, Project for New York City (2003) by artist Christo, who used a combination of "graphite, charcoal, pastel, wax crayon, enamel paint, fabric sample, aerial photograph," and more. I love this piece in particular because one, it is a reminder of home, two, it shows how there is such thing as "scenic" areas in the city (as often as us New Yorkers are teased about referring to an 8''x10'' plot of land as a garden) and three, Christo's use of texture and particularly their use of color makes the folds of fabric more vibrant and visually appealing.
